(ITAR) International Traffic in Arms Regulations Policy

ITAR COMPLIANCE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT I understand that the products, technologies and services listed on this website are subject to one or more of the export control laws and regulations of the U.S. Government and that they fall under the control jurisdiction of either the Department of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Department of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

I understand that it is unlawful to export, or attempt to export or otherwise transfer or sell any hardware or technical data or furnish any service to any foreign person, whether abroad or in the United States (U.S.), for which a license or written approval of the U.S. Government is required, without first obtaining the required license or written approval from the department of the U.S. Government having jurisdiction.

– I understand that, in the ITAR (§ 120.16), a foreign person means any natural person who is not a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is not a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). It also means any foreign corporation, business association, partnership, trust, society or any other entity or group that is not incorporated or organized to do business in the U.S., as well as international organizations, foreign governments and any agency or subdivision of foreign governments (e.g., diplomatic missions). – I understand that I am responsible for compliance with any and all U.S. Government export controls and regulations and that, if I violate them, it could result upon conviction in severe criminal and civil penalties (including substantial fines, imprisonment, seizure of controlled products and technical data, and/or suspension/removal of export privileges) for my company and me. I am purchasing the articles identified on this website for use or resale in the U.S. only.

– I understand that these items will not be exported, provided to foreign persons in the U.S. (including Foreign Embassies in the U.S.A.), or sold domestically for export by a third party (including U.S. Government agencies).

– If/when I resell these items, I will advise my customers of their duty to comply with U.S.export control regulations or face the possibility of severe criminal and civil fines including imprisonment if convicted.

– If/when I resell these items, I will obtain and retain record of the sale.

– If/when I resell these items, I will inform my customers that if these items are lost, stolen or destroyed, they must report to me this fact and provide the date of the incident as well as the associated serial number of the item.

Return Policy

Items that are eligible for return, must be returned in an unused, unopened, and unworn condition, with original packaging and tags within 30 days of delivery for refund. Buyer responsible for return shipping costs. We are not responsible for items lost by the carrier. INSURE YOUR ITEMS!

Items ineligible for return are as follows,

Night Vision:  We do not accept returns on night vision. At this point in the game, if you're investing in night optics, you should be sure of what you need prior to investment. We are available for contact to ensure you make the correct purchase. If there are any issues for whatever reason with your device, please contact us and we can point you in the right direction. Night Vision devices carry warranties  for defective items. In the rare event you receive a defective item, contact us so we may initiate the warranty process.

How To Return An Item

Email a request for return to joe@strategicdark.com or use the Contact form on our website to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization then,

Include in your package the order number and any significant email correspondence.

Note: Items that have been opened can only be returned with consent from us. Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered cannot be returned or exchanged.


Exchanges are handled on a case by case basis. Contact us at joe@strategicdark.com to request an exchange.


Strategic Dark uses USPS and UPS to ship all merchandise. We reserve the right to change the courier you selected but we will never do this when it costs you more time or saves us more money. In the event we change the courier you selected, it is because there is a quicker delivery method OR it is the holidays when USPS is unreliable. Again, we will never incur you higher fees or increased wait time based on this selection.

Due to the variety of items we carry, coupled with lack of automated shipping options provided by shopify, we reserve the right to select which shipping method is the safest and fastest way to get you your merchandise. This may differ from the shipping service selected and purchased by the customer. When a free shipping discount is offered, it will be for the most cost effective shipping method that is insured. If faster shipping is desired, please do not utilize the free shipping code.

As with most online merchants, we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged merchandise. In this event, you must file a claim with the carrier service to receive a refund. We are always here to assist you. Please contact us in the event you can't get it sorted out and we will do our best.

When Orders Ship

The Strategic Dark Group is dedicated to ensuring you receive your gear as soon as possible. It is important to note that some members of our team are currently operational in either Law Enforcement, U.S. Government, or Military applications. This may result in an order holding for a few days prior to shipment. By completing a purchase for merchandise from us, you acknowledge this time frame.

All personal information collected by Strategic Dark Solutions LLC is used exclusively for the conveyance of our services and merchandise to you. (Billing, Shipping, Correspondence, etc..)

Your personal information will not be sold or shared to anyone for any reason.

The personal information we collect is necessary for the completion of internet transactions for merchandise.

You have the right to refuse your information simply by not interacting with or purchasing items from our website.

Strategic Dark Solutions LLC does not intentionally collect information from any children ages 13 or less. If you are 13 years old or less please do not use, interact with, or purchase from our website. If you believe Strategic Dark Solutions may have inadvertently collected information from a minor who is 13 years of age or less please contact us at info@strategicdark.com.

Body Armor waiver information is not conveyed to any entity. It is stored for our reference in the unlikely event where a user participates in unlawful activity to prove that we are held harmless in such events.


Strategic Dark Solutions LLC is not responsible for any injuries that occur resulting from the use of our merchandise. We sell defensive and offensive tools for highly trained professionals. It is your responsibility to seek the appropriate training in order to safely utilize these tools.
